Inside Fitting

inside-pic-1

Remember a Roman Blind fitted inside your window frame will permanently cover between 250mm-300mm when pulled up or fully open and it will affect the amount of light coming through the window.

1) Measure inside window frame width (mm)

Write all three width measurements down A.B.C

Enter the smallest width measurement of 3 as your final width measurement

2) Measure inside window frame length (mm)

Write all three length measurements down D.E.F

Enter the smallest length measurement of 3 as your final length measurement

inside-pic-2Important!

We require the exact inside frame to frame measurements in millimetres for both the width and length in three different positions as demonstrated in the illustration.

Do not make any deductions from these exact frame to frame measurements.

Always measure in millimetres

Outside Fitting

1) Measure the outside frame from left to right. Again, double check it.
2) Add to this measurement the distance you want the blind to extend beyond each side of the frame. (If 50mm each side add 100mm to your frame to frame measurement, this is your final width measurement)
3) Take the measurement from the top to the bottom of the window frame. Double check it – this is crucial.
4) A Roman Blind (pulled up) has a stack of 250mm – 300mm depending on the actual full length of the blind, take this into account when measuring, you may want to install the blind higher to minimise window coverage when fully open.
5) Add to this measurement the distance you want the blind to extend beyond the top and bottom of the frame (If 200mm above and 100 mm below, add 300mm to your frame to frame measurement, this is your final length measurement)

Tip

When measuring, always look out for things like window handles, or anything that could obstruct the blinds easy operation.
